BI Norwegian School of Management is a fully-fledged, internationally recognized academic institution in the area of Business and Management. In size, BI is one of the largest business school in Europe and the second largest academic institution in Norway.

BI is a strong player on the international arena as well. Through its operations in China, Lithuania and Australia and through its exchange agreement with a more than 140 universities all over the world

Scandinavia is perhaps the closest you can come to a postindustrial knowledge economy and BI is inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of management. Scandinavian companies are also the innovators of participatory management techniques and network forms of organization. BI adds its focus on ethics and corporate social responsibility to these qualities.

BI Norwegian School of Management is innovative and maintains high standards in research and teaching. It is international, rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of management, and it is future-oriented.


About BI Alumni
Former students are BIs most valuable ambassadors and we wish to keep in touch with our alumni. BI Alumni is designed to keep a lifelong connnection with BI, and to maintain and develop the national and international networks from the student days.

Through BI Alumni we wish to contribute in ways that will assist our alumni to continue and further develop their professional careers and networks. Our aim is that sharing of knowledge and experience may continue far beyond the last exam.

Long term goal
Our goal is that our Norwegian and international alumni stay connected to BI in a way that they through knowledge, attitude and behavior acts as strong ambassadors in their environments and in other ways involve them selves in activities that enrich BI and them selves.

We wanted an up to date and well functioning member base that could contain relevant offers and services in a web based solution. Netenviron Alumni solution delivered just that.
Our goal was to offer relevant and tailor-made services for each member based on their own preferences. That was among the main reasons why we chose Netenviron as our supplier.

The daily running
The BI Alumni database offers various possibilities for networking, academic update and career development. Based on the members professional interests, degree or place of residence, they will find other alumni in the network with the same interests in developing new relations and communitites. Our alumni services gives our members more knowledge, inspiration and motivation in their professional worklife.

BI Alumni have, by March 2009, approximately 47 000 registered alumni.
By using Netenvirons e-mail and SMS functionality, it is a simple and efficient task to invite students to the network, seminars, reunions and help the members keep their contact information up to date.

By use of the tip-function alumni can tip their old classmates about the network and build their own exclusive network. This contributes to strengthen and maintain the already strong relations from the student days. In addition BI Alumni have specialized network groups based on degree, fields of interests and geographical location.  


Support and project management
Through Netenvirons project manager and their support desk we get feedback on enquiries and challenges that may appear. This makes it possible to make adaptations in the solution and give feedback to our members.
